iti śrīskāṃde mahāpurāṇa ekāśītisāhasryāṃ saṃhitāyāṃ ṣaṣṭhe nāgarakhaṇḍe hāṭakeśvarakṣetramāhātmye paraśurāmakṛtamahīdānapūrvakasamudrāpasāraṇavṛttāntavarṇanaṃnāmā ṣṭāṣaṣṭitamo'dhyāyaḥ .. 68 .. .. cha ..

Thus ends the sixty-eighth chapter, entitled 'The Description of the Ocean's Retreat Preceded by the Gift of the Earth by Paraśurāma', in the māhātmya of the Hāṭakeśvara sacred field, in the Nāgarakhaṇḍa, the sixth [part] of the auspicious Skanda Mahāpurāṇa consisting of eighty-one thousand verses.
