Thus ends the twenty-fourth chapter, entitled “Description of the Māhātmya of Vālmīkeśvara” in the Avantīkṣetramāhātmya of the fifth Avantyakhaṇḍa, in the glorious Skanda Mahāpurāṇa, a compendium of eighty-one thousand [verses].
