4 atha ḍamarukeśvaramāhātmyavarṇanam, tatra ruruputreṇa vajradaityena saha yuddhe parājayaṃ
prāptānāṃ sendrādidevānāṃ brahmaloke gamanam, brahmaṇaḥ śarīrato nirgatāyāḥ saka-
nyakāyāḥ kṛtyāyā vajreṇa samaṃ yuddhavarṇanam, vajrakṛtakṛtyāparābhavavarṇanam,
kṛtyādibhirīśvarārādhanākaraṇam, īśvaravajrayoryuddhavarṇanam, īśvarapreritaḍamaruṇā
vajranāśakaraṇam, tatastatra ḍamarukeśvaretiliṃgasthāpanam, ḍamarukeśvaraliṃgamāhā-

Now, the description of the glory of Ḍamarukeśvara; therein, the gods led by Indra, having suffered defeat in battle with the Daitya Vajra, the son of Ruru, going to Brahmaloka; the description of the battle with Vajra by the female demon همراه with maiden-attendants that issued from Brahmā's body; the description of the defeat of that female demon by Vajra; the performance of the worship of Īśvara by the female demon and others; the description of the battle between Īśvara and Vajra; the destruction of Vajra by the hand-drum propelled by Īśvara; then, the installation of the liṅga named Ḍamarukeśvara there; the description of the glory of the Ḍamarukeśvara liṅga. 82 1
