kṛṣṇapakṣe caturdaśyāṃ rātrau jāgarti yo naraḥ .
upavāsaparaḥ śuddhaḥ śivaṃ sampūjayennaraḥ .
pramucya pāpasaṃmohaṃ rudralokaṃ sa gacchati .. 198.116 ..

The man who stays awake at night on the fourteenth day of the dark fortnight, / devoted to fasting, pure, and worships Śiva— / freed from the delusion of sin, he goes to the world of Rudra.
