ye kṣāntadāntāḥ śrutipūrṇakarṇā jitendriyāḥ prāṇivadhānnivṛttāḥ .
pratigrahe saṃkucitāgrahastāste brāhmaṇāstārayituṃ samarthāḥ .. 209.10 ..

Those who are patient, subdued, whose ears are filled with scripture, who have mastered their senses, who have abstained from slaughtering living beings, / and whose outstretched hands are restrained from accepting gifts—such brahmins are capable of delivering [their ancestors].
