rātrau jāgaraṇaṃ kṛtvā dīpaṃ devasya bodhayet .
kathāṃ vai vaiṣṇavīṃ pārtha vedābhyasanameva ca .. 60.74 ..

and kept a vigil at night, should light a lamp for the god; / [and engage in] a Vaiṣṇava narrative, O son of Pṛthā, and the study of the Veda.
