Thus ends the seventh chapter, named "Origin of the Tortoise Kalpa," in the Māhātmya of the Narmadā, in the Revākhaṇḍa, in the Āvantyakhaṇḍa, in the Mahāpurāṇa of Skanda containing eighty-one thousand verses.
