tatra tīrthe tu ye gatvā śuciprayatamānasāḥ .

Mārkaṇḍeya said:
Those who, having gone to that sacred ford with purified and restrained minds,
on the fifth, fourteenth, or eighth day of the bright or dark fortnights,
