snātvā tasminmahātīrthe praṇāmārthamupāgatam . . 5. .
dṛṣṭavā te sūtamāyāntamṛṣayo hṛṣṭamānasāḥ8 .
having completed their daily rites on the full-moon day to bathe in the sacred ford,
saw Sūta, who is devoted to truth and versed in the Purāṇas,
who had bathed in that great sacred ford and approached to offer salutations.
Seeing Sūta coming, the seers, gladdened in mind,
