7.10.29_38

sanatkumāra uvāca
teṣāṃ tadvacanaṃ śrutvā varadosmīti sobravīt .
ūcuste daityarājānaṃ tadā vacanakovidāḥ ..14. .
ṛṣaya ūcuḥ
yadetaduktaṃ bhavatā narakavyādhimṛtyuṣu .
na tathā tad bhaved daitya eṣa no dīyatāṃ varaḥ ..15..

Sanatkumāra said:
Having heard their words, he said, "I will grant a boon."
Then those [sages], skilled in speech, spoke to the daitya king: 14
The seers said:
"What was spoken by you regarding hell, disease, and death—
may that not be so, O daitya; let this boon be granted to us." 15
