namaḥ sādhyāya devāya namo dhāmne suvedhase17 .
namo yamāya devāya jayāya ca namo namaḥ . . 18 . .
namaścāditiputrāya naranārāyaṇāya ca .
namassumataye caiva namaścaivāstu viṣṇave . .1 9..

Obeisance to the deity of the Sādhyas, obeisance to the Abode, to the wise Creator;
obeisance to Yama, to the god, and obeisance, obeisance to Jaya!
Obeisance to the son of Aditi, and to Nara-Nārāyaṇa;
obeisance to Sumati, and let obeisance be to Viṣṇu!
