namaḥ śakunihantre20 ca namo dāmodarāya ca .
salile tapyamānāya nāgaśayyāpriyāya ca . . 22 . .
namaḥ kapilarūpāya mahate puruṣāya ca .
namo jīmūtarūpāya mahādevapriyāya ca . .2 3 . .
namo rudrārdharūpāya21 tathomārūpiṇe namaḥ22 .
cakramudgarahastāya maheśvaragaṇāya ca . .24. .

Obeisance to the slayer of Śakuni, and obeisance to Dāmodara;
to him performing austerities in the water, and to him fond of the serpent-bed;
obeisance to the one whose form is Kapila, and to the Great Person;
obeisance to the one whose form is a rain-cloud, and to him dear to Mahādeva;
obeisance to the one whose form is half Rudra, and likewise obeisance to the one whose form is Umā;
to him who holds a discus and mace in his hand, and to the troop of Maheśvara!
