A best of men who gives a water-pot to a brahmin, / O goddess, attains perpetuity in righteousness by that act. . . 98 . .
Whoever, O brahmin-seer, according to his ability rescues / the sick, the afflicted, the bewildered, and the faint-hearted, is freed from the killing of a brahmin. . . 99 . .
Whoever gives gold to a poor twice-born, / O deities, obtains the fruit of ten horse sacrifices. . . 8.111.100 . .
And whoever gives at once all these gifts / that have been completely described, O goddess, becomes the sole king upon the earth. . . 101 . .
Whoever constantly hears this, gives according to his capacity, / and recites it, O fortunate ones, he too goes to heaven. . . 102 . .
Thus ends the one hundred and eleventh chapter in the Skandapurāṇa.
