tasyātha snātamātrasya śarīrādabhiniḥsṛtā .
pāpmāsurī mahāghorā vikṛtā vikṛtānanā . .7. .
devānabhidrutā hantuṃ niruddhā devabandhunā .

uvāca tāṃ na hantavyā devāḥ sarve savāsavāḥ . .8 . .
ihaiva ca tava sthānaṃ bhaviṣyati supūjitam .
puṇyā ca7 sarvatīrthebhyaḥ sarvapātakanāśanī ..9. .
sapta pūrvān parāṃścaiva tārayiṣyasi9 nityaśaḥ .

Then, as soon as he had bathed, there emerged from his body / a demonic evil, exceedingly dreadful, deformed, with a distorted face. // 7
She rushed to slay the gods, [but] was restrained by the friend of the gods; / […] / he said to her: "The gods, along with Indra, must not be slain by you. // 8
Right here your well-worshiped place shall be, / holy above all sacred fords, destroying all sins. // 9
You will constantly deliver seven [generations] before and after.
