nāstayāpaḥ21 samāviṣṭā rasavatyo na jajñire .
agandhāśca vivarṇāśca prabhāvatyo na caiva ha .
pṛthivī cālpavīryābhūttejastigmaṃ ca nābhavat . .3 2 ..

The waters, entered by it, did not remain sapid; they lost their taste,
they became devoid of fragrance, discolored, and bereft of luster;
the earth became devoid of strength, and heat lost its sharpness. // 32
