tataḥ prahararṇerghoraistuṇḍanirvāpitaistalaiḥ24 .

nandīśvaraṃ puraskṛtya kārttikeyañca ṣaṇmukham .
mṛdranti26 pramathā daityān sarpām̐stārkṣya ivāhave . .3 3 ..

Then with dreadful weapons and with slaps delivered with snouts and palms, / they encountered one another and struck one another down. / Placing Nandīśvara and the six-faced Kārttikeya in front, / the pramathas crushed the daityas in battle, as Garuḍa crushes serpents.
