"By Nandin courageously carrying off Śukra, the best of leaders, the lives of us all have surely been stolen away today. / Who will revive again the Daityas slain by the Pramathas? Without that descendant of Bhṛgu, Śukra, who else will sustain us? / Resolution, valor, splendor, vitality, vigor, strength, and constancy—everything has been stolen by the enemies when the divine Śukra was carried away. / Since the divine descendant of Bhṛgu has been abducted, my mind too is afflicted; yet I shall not abandon the conflict when assailed by the Pramathas. / Steady yourselves, do not fear, fight with the enemies! I shall destroy all the Pramathas along with Nandin! / Today, having rendered them helpless and having slain the thirty gods as well, I shall liberate the descendant of Bhṛgu like a lion trapped in a cage. / And he, an ascetic, if the master himself should emerge from his body by means of yoga, shall be protected by the rest of us!" / Hearing these words of Andhaka, the Dānavas, roaring like clouds, tormented the Pramathas, having made their resolve to die.
