7.15.12_98

asiṃ kujambhaściccheda garuḍaḥ pannagaṃ yathā .
tañcāpi suvikṛṣṭena śareṇāsṛgbhujā tadā ..37. .
kujambho hyahanadbāhau vajreṇendra38 ivācalam .
sa dṛḍhābhihatastena ghūrṇitassālavṛkṣavat39 .. 38..

Kujambha cut his sword in two, as Garuḍa [cuts] a serpent; / and then with a blood-stained arm, with a well-drawn arrow, / Kujambha struck him on the arm, like Indra [striking] a mountain with his thunderbolt. / Hard hit by him, he staggered like a sāla tree.
