tataḥ kathā bahuvidhāḥ kṛtvoddiśya maheśvaram .
papraccha dhanado nandiṃ cirasyāgamanaṃ kṛtam ..21.. nandyuvāca
aśokatarukaṃ putraṃ giriputrī grahīṣyati .
nimantrayati tatra tvāṃ draviṇeśa maheśvaraḥ ..22..

Then, having engaged in various conversations concerning Maheśvara, / the giver of wealth asked Nandī: "After a long time you have come!" Nandī said: / "The daughter of the mountain will adopt the little aśoka tree as her son. / Maheśvara invites you there, O lord of riches!
