Sped from the fully drawn bow, encompassing [the sky] as they moved in battle, / guiding their own paths, in speed equal to the mind and wind, / those great arrows of Andhaka fell upon the deities, / just as rays cast by the sun fall upon great mountains. / Elephants were struck by the arrows, horses were struck by the arrows, / and deities and leaders of the Gaṇas were struck on all sides. / With entrails and blood protruding, their garlands and ornaments scattered, / their hair-bindings loosed, they fell in deep agony.
