I think an extremely brilliant austerity was performed by the daughter of the mountain, / through whose austerity the boon-giver whose banner is the bull was won over. / Ah, the subtle power of women, very hard to conquer even by gods, / by which lords equal to Rudra have come under the control of women!" / Other great-souled leaders of the gaṇas said to them: / "It is the God himself who stands in the form of his wife. / Do not disrespect the goddess! Through yoga, do you not understand this?"
