Come, Goddess, let us go home; your desire is fulfilled.
We shall see that son again, adorned with clusters of flowers.” // 134
Addressed thus by her husband, the virtuous lady, her face and eyes filled with joy,
she of fawn-like eyes spoke these words there to Harita: // 135
“O fawn-eyed one, protect with care this little son standing here,
this good son, O Hari, from elephants, horses, and birds! // 136
And when this little Aśoka son
becomes adorned with clusters of flowers, then you must come see me.” // 137
Having thus instructed Harita, she of startled fawn-like eyes,
casting a sidelong glance, entered her abode
with her husband, as radiance enters the solar disc. // 138
Thus, together with the Lord of Beings, having adopted the sapling Aśoka tree as her son,
the Goddess, standing amid the delighted Gaṇas, then entered her own home with a joyful heart. // 139
