sohamasya varārohe vareṇye11 varadāyini .
varaṃ dāsyāmi varade yadi te rucitaṃ priye ..8. .
atha devī divonāthaṃ ḍiṇḍimuṇḍeśvaraṃ12 haram .
avadadvaradaṃ kāntaṃ kāntaṃ candrārdhabhūṣaṇam13 . .9..

'Therefore, O fair-hipped lady, O choicest one, O giver of boons, I shall grant him a boon, O gracious one, if it pleases you, my beloved.' / Then the Goddess spoke to the Lord of heaven, Ḍiṇḍimuṇḍeśvara, Hara, the giver of boons, the beloved, adorned with the crescent moon:
