relinquished his anger against Śakra and was pleased with the heaven-dwellers.
Then all those mountains, the goddess daughter of Himavat, / and Śakra the king of gods, rejoiced and worshiped Guha.
The Blessed One too was delighted and granted boons to his son, / and the leader of the host of Mothers went with Guha and the goddess / to the divine, auspicious peak of Mount Himavat.
And the mountains, Meru, Vindhya, and the others, along with Krauñca, / and Śakra the king of gods, the god, repaired to their own abodes.
Thus it was that Krauñca, who dwelt in the Krauñcasārasa, / was split with the spear by Guha and was afterwards made immortal.
And that cleft made by the spear is still seen in Krauñca, the foremost of mountains, / which became wide and vast, an abode of many deities.
