sarvathā jātimātreṇa yopi syād brāhmaṇaḥ kvacit .
sopi lokagururdevi pūjitaḥ svargado bhaveta . .2 1 . .
agnihotraṃ tapo yajñaḥ śaucamārjavameva ca .
satyaṃ vedaprasaṅgaśca dvijakarma paraṃ smṛtam . .22 ..

He who is a brāhmaṇa in every way by mere birth, anywhere— / he too is a teacher of the world, O goddess; honoured, he bestows heaven. // 21
The agnihotra, austerity, sacrifice, purity, straightforwardness, / truth, and dedication to the Veda are declared to be the supreme duty of the twice-born. // 22
