brāhmaṇaśca tapasvī ca na janma punarāpnute .
vidvadbrāhmaṇatāṃ labdhvā kinna labdhaṃ hi dehinā22 . . 24. .
mūrttayo yāḥ smṛtā hyaṣṭāvarkasomādayo mama .
sarvāstā nivasanti sma brāhmaṇe tapasaidhite23 ..25..

A brāhmaṇa who is an ascetic does not obtain rebirth again. / Having attained the status of a learned brāhmaṇa, what indeed has an embodied soul not attained? // 24
Those eight forms of mine which are known, beginning with the sun and moon— / all of them dwell in a brāhmaṇa enhanced by austerity. // 25
