gatāhaṃ vismayaṃ deva dvijāḥ śreṣṭhatamā iti .
devebhyopi garīyāṃso brahmaṇā iti me matiḥ .
tvattotha3 śrotumicchāmi dvijamāhātmyamuttamam ..7..

I fell into wonder, O god, [thinking] that the twice-born are the foremost of all. / 'The brāhmaṇas are weightier even than the gods'—such is my conviction. / Therefore I wish to hear from you the supreme māhātmya of the twice-born." // 7
