kūrmāro38 devadattaśca kṛkaro nāga eva ca .
udānenāśu saṃyujya karṇikāyāṃ viśanti39 hi ..3 5. .
tata40 ūrdhvo bhavecchvāso manojīvavinirgamaḥ .
tato jyotiryadakṣibhyāṃ41 tatsomaṃ viśati drutam42 ..3 6..

Kūrmāra, Devadatta, Kṛkara, and Nāga indeed, / quickly joining with Udāna, enter into the pericarp [of the heart]. // 35
Then the breath ascends upward, [bringing] the departure of mind and individual self; / then whatever light was in the two eyes quickly enters the moon. // 36
