tena prāleyavarṣeṇa ghanena sa himācalaḥ .
śobhanena118 tadā reje kṣīroda iva sāgaraḥ . . 1 04. .
himasthāneṣu hemanto119 rpya nāśayāmāsa pādapān .
sādhūpacārān sahasākṛtārtha iva durjanaḥ . . 10 5. .

Due to that dense shower of snow, / that snowy mountain then shone beautifully like the Ocean of Milk. / Hemanta destroyed the trees in snowy places, / just as a wicked man, having suddenly accomplished his goal, [destroys] the services of the virtuous.
