Pierced in the chest by the unseen, swift spear, the Boar falls unconscious to the earth. Diverse great portents arise throughout the world; petitioned by Brahmā and others, Mahādeva reinvigorates the Boar with his own splendor. Thus reinvigorated and freed from distress, the Boar fights Hiraṇyākṣa for a long time. A voice from the sky addresses the Boar so that the opportune moment is not missed; the slaying of Hiraṇyākṣa performed by the Boar.
