paṃcāgniko25 rdhvakarṇaśca pāśahasto manojavaḥ26 .
vṛtaḥ koṭiśatenaiva sadṛśānā27madṛśyata . . 22. .
bhāra28bhūtīti vikhyāto mahāyogabalānvitaḥ .
gaṇapo devadevasya samīpaṃ sobhyagacchata . .23 . .

performing the five-fire penance, with ears pointing upward, a noose in his hand, swift as thought; / he appeared surrounded by a thousand million of those like himself. (22) / Known as Bhārabhūti, endowed with the power of great yoga, / that Gaṇa-leader approached the Lord of gods. (23)
