kasyādya vyasanaṃ ghoraṃ kariṣyāmastavājñayā .
kasya vā7dyotsavaṃ deva sarvakāmasamṛddhimat ..5. .
tāṃstathāvādinaḥ sarvānnamato bhaktavatsalaḥ .
uvāca devaḥ saṃpūjya gaṇān9 gaṇapatirbhavaḥ ..6..

Whose terrible ruin shall we bring about today by your command?
Or for whom, O God, shall we make a festival today that abounds in the fulfillment of all desires?” (5)
To all of them speaking thus and bowing, the lover of devotees,
the god Bhava, lord of the gaṇas, having honored the gaṇas, spoke: (6)
