namo devādhidevāya9 mahādevāya vai namaḥ .
namaḥ kāmāṃganāśāya nīlakaṃṭhāya vai namaḥ ..1 6. .
namastuṣitanāśāya trailokyadamanāya ca .
namaḥ kālāgradaṇḍāya ugradaṇḍāya vai namaḥ . . 1 7. .

"Homage to the supreme God of gods! Homage indeed to Mahādeva! / Homage to the destroyer of the limbs of Kāma! Homage indeed to the blue-throated one! / Homage to the destroyer of Tuṣita, and to the subduer of the three worlds! / Homage to the foremost staff of Time, homage indeed to the terrible staff!"
