uvāca mahiṣīṃ vyāsa kadācit putralipsayā61 .
devi sarvānabhiprāyān janebhyoyaṃ prayacchati . .8.26.40

gaṇeśvaraṃ tvamapyenamapatyārthaṃ prasādaya .

spoke on one occasion to his queen, O Vyāsa, through a longing for a son: / “O queen, he grants all wishes to the people; // 40 // / propitiate this lord of gaṇas yourself for the sake of offspring.”
