nikumbhopi kṛtārthaḥ sannākāśe saṃsthitaḥ prabhuḥ .
uvāca taṃ79 divodāsaṃ pradahanniva80 tejasā . .58 . .
yatheṣṭaṃ saṃprayacchanti devā varamabhīpsitam .
na datto yadyasau kopaḥ kastatra bhavatobhavat81 . .59..

Nikumbha too, having achieved his purpose, the lord standing in the sky, / spoke to that Divodāsa, as if burning him with his splendour: / 'The gods grant the desired boon according to one's wish. / If it was not given, what anger was that on your part?'
