abhivādyāñjaliṃ kṛtvā dadhīcamidamabravīt .
bhagavan brahmaṇaśreṣṭha pitāmahasamadyute ..78. .
varamekaṃ vṛṇehaṃ yaṃ taṃ126 bhavāndātumarhati127 .
prasāditohaṃ viprendra kṣupeṇa śubhakarmaṇā ..79..

having bowed and placed his hands palm to palm, he said this to Dadhīca: / “O venerable one, best of brahmins, radiant as the Grandfather [Brahmā]! / I ask for one boon; you should grant that to me. / I have been propitiated, O prince of brahmins, by Kṣupa of auspicious deeds.
