kiṃkaraistairaviśrāntaṃ17 divārātramatandritaiḥ18 .
pūrṇe kāle19 tato jaṃturucchrayān20 pratipadyate . .8.39.1 0. .
viśrāmya sa tadā jantuḥ pātyate21 narake punaḥ .
yāvadasya kṛtaṃ pāpaṃ kṣīṇaṃ sarvamaśeṣataḥ . .1 1 ..

By those attendants, without rest, unwearied day and night, / when the time is complete, the creature reaches the heights. / Having rested then, that creature is cast down into hell again / until every bit of the sin committed by him is completely exhausted.
