parāṅamukhaṃ ca saṃsaktamanyena25 saha vādinam .
ete sarve narāstatra gacchantyakṛtabuddhayaḥ ..1 1 . .
ya idaṃ26 śṛṇuyāt kṛtāntasadma prayato nityamanekaduḥkhasadma27 .
sa na yāti tamugraśokapadmaṃ28 narakaṃ mṛtyumivāti29 kālasadma ..1 2..

or one whose back is turned, or one engaged in dispute with another— / all these mindless men go there. / A self-controlled person who constantly hears of this abode of the Lord of Death, this abode of many sufferings, / does not go to that hell, a lotus of fierce grief, as if [approaching] death, the abode of Time.
