sa cāpi kṛtakṛtyaśca mahātmā tapasānvitaḥ .
na tasya170 śocyamasmābhiriha kiñciddhi171 vidyate ..88. .
ātmānaṃ putra śocāmi yāhaṃ tena vinā kṛtā .
tamevānu mṛtā nāsmi tavāgamanakāṃkṣiṇī ..89..

And he, great-souled and endowed with austerity, had accomplished his purpose; / there is nothing at all to be mourned by us on his account here. / I grieve for myself, O son, who have been abandoned without him; / longing for your return, I did not die right after him.
