pitrā ca tapasogreṇa prāṇām̐styaktvātidustyajān .
mahādevād bhavām̐llavdhastasya133 yuktaṃ samācara . .72. .
yathā tuṣṭo tvayā putra jīvau jīvena saṃgatau134 .
āvāmubhāvapi syāva135 tathā samyak samācara136 ..73 . .

And by your father, through severe austerity, abandoning vital breaths so hard to abandon, / you were obtained from Mahādeva; perform what is fitting for him. / So that we both may be alive, our lives united with each other, pleased with you, O son, / properly act in such a way."
