andhaka uvāca
bhagavan yadi tuṣṭosi yadi me caritaṃ tapaḥ .
apratidvandvatāṃ18 saṃkhye daivatebhyaḥ pitāmaha ..1 9. .
mahābalatvaṃ māyāśca19 tathā cāmaratāmapi .
etadicchāmi deveśa yadi tvaṃ varado mama . .8.74.20 ..

Andhaka said:
“O Blessed One, if you are pleased, if my austerity has been accomplished,
[grant me] matchlessness in battle against the deities, O Grandfather! (19)
Great strength, magical powers, and likewise immortality as well—
this I desire, O Lord of the gods, if you are a giver of boons to me.” (20)
