tato devāstadā sarve viviśurvaiṣṇavīṃ tanum .
sa cāpi balavān bhūtvā rūpaṃ kṛtvā bhayānakam . .25. .
nārasiṃhaṃ mahātejā nakhadaṃṣṭrāvibhūṣaṇam19 .
jagāma vilasan viṣṇurhiraṣyakaśipoḥ puram ..26..

Then all the gods entered the body of Viṣṇu.
And he, becoming mighty and assuming a terrifying form, / 25
the man-lion of great splendour, adorned with claws and fangs,
Viṣṇu went, shining forth, to the city of Hiraṇyakaśipu. / 26
