hiraṇyakaśipordeva daityarājo15 mahābalāt .
bhayaṃ naḥ sumahajjātaṃ rājyaṃ cāpahṛtaṃ divaḥ16 . .19. .
avamānaḥ prayuktaśca tenāsmabhyaṃ surottama .
bhunakti sa jagat kṛtsnaṃ brahmadviṭ kaśyapātmajaḥ ..8.71.2 0 ..

"O Lord, from Hiraṇyakaśipu, the exceedingly powerful king of the Daityas,
great fear has arisen for us, and our kingdom in heaven has been seized. / 19
Humiliation has also been inflicted on us by him, O best of the gods.
He enjoys the entire world—that hater of Brahmā, son of Kaśyapa! / 20
