Unable to endure that, the mighty [god], having been battered in battle by Hiraṇyākṣa the tormentor, / departed on the elephant that had been struck by the lord of the Dānavas and reeked of flowing rutting-juice.
Thus ends the eighty-fourth chapter on the battle, in the Skandapurāṇa.
