The king [Indra] cut that as well, and likewise another one again. / Then, seizing a spear, [Hiraṇyākṣa], enraged, hurled it. / As it flew toward him, blazing at its tip, terrible like the sister of Death, / the king cut it down with his thunderbolt; and that was like a wonder.
