āmaṃ darbheṣu niḥkṣipya ityuccārya dvijāgrataḥ /
pretā yāntu paraṃ lokaṃ tīrthasyāsya prabhāvataḥ //
Placing the uncooked [grains] upon the darbha grass, uttering thus before the twice-born: / 'May the departed go to the supreme world by the power of this sacred bathing site!
