sarvabhakṣīkṛto yaś ca daṇḍake muninā purā /
narmadātaṭam āśritya pūto jāto hutāśanaḥ //
He who was made an all-devourer in ancient times by the sage in the Daṇḍaka forest,
having resorted to the bank of the Narmadā, the fire became pure.
