gaṅgādyāḥ saritaḥ sarvāḥ samudrāś ca sarāṃsi ca /
kalpānte saṃkṣayaṃ yānti na mṛtaikā ca narmadā //
All rivers such as the Gaṅgā, the oceans, and the lakes / perish at the end of an aeon; the Narmadā alone does not die.

iti śrīskandapurāṇe revākhaṇḍe tīrthapañcakavarṇano nāma dvyadhikaśatatamo 'dhyāyaḥ ||
