tataḥ sugandhapuṣpaiś ca bilvapatraiś ca pūtanam /
śrāddhaṃ yaḥ kārayet tatra brāhmaṇair vedapāragaiḥ //

Then, with fragrant flowers and bilva leaves, [one should perform] purification. / Whoever performs an ancestral offering there through brahmins who have mastered the Vedas,
