mārkaṇḍeya uvāca:
somanāthaprabhāvaṃ ca saṃkṣepāt kathayāmi te /
śambaro nāma rājābhūt tasya putras trilocanaḥ //

Mārkaṇḍeya said: / I shall tell you briefly the power of Somanātha: / there was a king named Śambara, whose son was Trilocana.
